Greg Allen, Principal of BRHS, for making the school available to the BRVA for the Farmers' Market, two Town Hall Meetings, and the Sunflower Classic 5K/10K Walk/Run. Caryn Atkinson, owner of Metropolitan Motif, for co-chairing the BRVA Beautification Committee. Richard J. Berg, Certified Public Accountant, for his pro bono accounting work and financial advice. Broad Ripple United Methodist Church, Key Bank, and Old National Bank, for providing meeting space during the past year. Ross Faris of Your Neighbor's Garden and Neal Brown of L'Explorateur Restaurant, for organizing two Harvest Dinner Benefits, the proceeds from which went to the Farmers' Market Fund. Alan Hague, Publisher and Editor of the Broad Ripple Gazette, for his efforts to communicate Broad Ripple Village news and issues to the community and for his attendance and coverage of BRVA events. Chuck Huppert, resident, former BRVA Board Member, Attorney, and Chairman of the BRVA Zoning Committee, for his guidance on the many zoning issues that come before the BRVA. Indianapolis Art Center, Joyce Sommers, Executive Director, and Iris Dillon, Director of Special Events, for providing BRVA meeting space throughout the year. Indianapolis Downtown, Inc., for promoting Broad Ripple Village as one of Indianapolis' six Cultural Districts. IPD North District and Detective Brian Dixon, for efforts to serve and protect Broad Ripple Village, and to keep the BRVA informed about public safety matters. Nicole Oprisu, owner of OPT, former BRVA board member and Vice-President, and current Special Events Committee Chair, for her work on fun and profitable events in The Village. Misha Rabinowitch, pro bono legal counsel to the BRVA, for all of his expert guidance and assistance. Chuck "Frog" Russell and Simone, landscape technician and his canine assistant, for their maintenance of Broad Ripple Village Association owned or adopted land. Linda Shikany, resident, former BRVA Board Member, owner of Marigold Contemporary Clothing and gingko, inc., for co-chairing the Beautification Committee. Volunteers, literally dozens and dozens, who helped with the Town Hall Meetings, Art Gallery Tours, StreetFest, 5K/10K Walk/Run, Historic Home Tour, etc. Angela E. White, Professional Facilitator, for her guidance to the BRVA Board of Directors in identifying and focusing on association priorities. Elaine Zukerman, former Broad Ripple Village business owner, former BRVA Administrative Coordinator, for serving as adviser on Zoning Committee matters, as well as other administrative assistance. Executive Committee of the BRVA Board of Directors, Ellen Morley Matthews, Carolyn Savill, Cathy Adler, and Sandra Arnold, for their inspired leadership of our awesome volunteer neighborhood organization. Board of Directors, Rich Bees, Peter Dean, Julia Merkt, Michael Seufert, Diane Seybert, and Sue Zilisch, for tireless efforts and countless hours working on committees and at special events. Sharon Butsch Freeland, rookie Executive Director, and Michael Freeland, her able assistant, for their meager efforts to be of some assistance to all of the above-mentioned persons.
