For over ten years the Broad Ripple Brewpub has been helping a family in need to make their Christmas a little more merry. They receive the family's details through the United Christmas Service. This year they are helping a family of four boys, ranging in age from seven to fourteen. They collect money at the restaurant by having their patrons "buy" paper Christmas lights. The donor signs them and then they are displayed on the mirror behind the bar. This is very popular with their generous customers, who enjoy the chance to help someone less fortunate than themselves during the holiday season.

With the money collected they buy hats, gloves, coats and other warm clothing, plus lots of toys from the childrens' wish lists. They then wrap every gift and, along with a Christmas dinner, deliver them personally to their door in time for the big day.
