Recently, Gunstra purchased two high-profile parcels in the Village. One in the 6100 block of Winthrop Avenue and the other on the northwest corner of 66th and Ferguson Street. Both of these properties were previously owned by Kosene and Kosene. Gunstra Builders was founded in Lafayette, Indiana, by Bruce Gunstra in 1976.

The lot at 6137 Winthrop Avenue has been cleared for the construction of condominiums. Jim Morgan, sales manager for Gunstra Builders, said that he will keep the neighborhood informed on the projects via The Gazette as details become available.
