Random Rippling - New no parking signs
posted: Aug. 11, 2006
The neighbors in the vicinity of Paxton Place and Carrollton Avenue told the Gazette to express their thanks to the City of Indianapolis for installing no parking signs along the south side of Paxton between Carrollton and Guilford. On packed weekend nights, Paxton was only wide enough for one-way traffic. That caused many accidents and traffic problems early in the mornings when the bars closed. Residents say that often cars were seen backing down Paxton because of oncoming traffic with no room to pass.
New signs indicate that parking is now only allowed on the north side of Paxton Place between Carrollton and Guilford.
