Musical at BRHS: Little Shop of Horrors - Feed Me!
posted: Mar. 24, 2006
The newly renovated auditorium at Broad Ripple High School was host to a large man-eating plant. The BRHS Center for Arts & Humanities presented Little Shop of Horrors. It is the story of Seymour, played by Travis Bruce, who raises a blood-loving plant that he names Audrey II after his co-worker/love interest Audrey, played by Emily Wirt. Seymour and Audrey work in Mr. Mushnik's (played by Addison Wolfe) flower shop. As the play progresses, Audrey II grows bigger and more and more vocal. Near the end of the first act the plant sings the soulful song Feed Me, performed by Matthew Mosley as the voice of Audrey II. The trio of Crystal, Ronnette, and Chiffon, played by Tiffany Engle, Bryanna Williams, and Tiffany Anderson, served as a fantastic narrative chorus throughout the musical. It was a great show with super performances by Emily and Travis! The next big show at BRHS will be Ripples on May 5th and 6th. See you there!
