Letters to the Editor - Follow-up to Paul Walker's David 6 Goliath 6 - Stackhouse data from Sharon Butsch Freeland
posted: Feb. 24, 2006

Note to our readers: Letters to the Editor are the opinions of our readers and not necessarily those of this paper.

I noted that at the end of the David and Goliath piece by Paul Walker, he commented on the fact that he did not know the whereabouts of Don Stackhouse. Because my passion for the past fifteen years was doing genealogy research, I am aware of a number of databases frequented by family tree researchers. I checked the Social Security Administration's Death Index and, I am sorry to report, I found the following:
       Name                  DOB                  DOD                    Issued In
DONALD A STACKHOUSE        14 Sep 1921        18 Oct 1991        Indiana
I also took a look at the 1930 Federal Census enumeration, whereupon I learned that the Stackhouses were the Hagues' "back-door" neighbors. In 1930, the Stackhouses lived at 6117 North College Avenue, which would be behind or nearly behind 6122 "Ashland" aka Carrollton Avenue.

A portion of the 1930 census showing Don Stackhouse on line 20.
