Random Rippling - College Avenue patching
posted: Jun. 24, 2004
The Department of Public Works recently patched dozens of spots on College Avenue between 63rd and 71st street. A DPW spokesman said that the worst joints in the road are cut out, usually in six-foot sections. Reinforcing rods are cemented into the sides of the cutout, and a patch is poured. This is an ongoing project to keep College Avenue as safe and smooth as possible.
