2nd annual Taste of Broad Ripple returns to the streets Sat. June 5, 2004

Last year's popular event, the Taste of Broad Ripple, returns better than ever. The event runs from 3 pm until 10 pm at the intersection of Guilford and Westfield Blvd. Tickets are available at each entrance.

This year more restaurants will offer their specialties, including: Applebee's, Bleeker Street, Broad Ripple Brew Pub, Broad Ripple Steak House, Chumley's Grill, Circle City BBQ, Corner Wine Bar, Dick's Bodacious BBQ, The Jazz Cooker, The Jazz Kitchen, La Bamba's, Midtown Grill, Naked Tchopstix, Parthenon, Pizza Express, Plump's Last Shot, The Red Room, Ripple Bagel and Deli, Scholars Inn Bakehouse, Uncle Arties BBQ, and Yats.

The Budweiser True Music "Taste of Broad Ripple" presented by Ice Mountain Water is an annual event for The Broad Ripple Village Association, along with RadioNow 93.1 and Exclamation Point Events. The live music sponsored by RadioNow 93.1 will be hosted by Ashlee Simpson, sister of Jessica Simpson. Ashlee has been on the WB's 7th Heaven for three years. Music groups scheduled to appear include: Fuel, HUM V & The Cleptoz, Zanna Do, Five Apples, Jojo, and Rooney.

According to Steve Ross, BRVA Director, over 11,000 attended last year's Taste. "We were blown away by the turnout and success of last year's event, and look forward to even more people coming out to enjoy the flavor of Broad Ripple. We are thrilled to be able to establish The Taste as an annual event in Indianapolis."

Tickets are $5 for adults, children under 8 are $2. Strollers are free.

Free Park-N-Ride Shuttles will be available at Glendale Mall and Broad Ripple Park.
