Don't Eat Crow
The largest black bird in our area is the Crow. Usually you will see them in "gangs" feeding or flying overhead antagonizing undesirable birds. America Crows have large brains and have been compared to the intelligence of a chimpanzees.

Some interesting facts about Crows are they have a long memory and can remember faces. They have been known to hold a grudge against some people and animals and will dive bomb them when they see the perceived adversary. They do not forget.
Other American Crow oddities are they are known for making tools to aid cracking nuts; they like to hide their food; they have regional dialects for their noisy caws; they like to collect sparkly items, and they hold funerals for a deceased crow. This is a bird to watch and time spent observing their behavior is not wasted. Finally a group of this bird is called a Murder of Crows.
