On motion of Dr. Joseph W. Bates all that platted territory lying between Central Avenue and Light Avenue and between 58th and 60th Street was annexed to the Town of Broad Ripple, Marion County Indiana by a unanimous vote of the Board.

On motion of Joseph W. Bates a resolution was passed annexing all that unplatted territory lying between Light Avenue and Morgan St. and between 58th Street and 60th Street and belonging to Thomas and Nancy J. Smith, Mattie Heim, Harriet Pinney and others. Elias J. Jacob, Norma H. Heurle, John J. and Marg L. Hatfield.

No other business before the board. The board adjourned

Resolution extending the boundaries of the Town of Broad Ripple. Marion County, Indiana, with petition and declaring an emergency

Whereas the following described territory herein described adjoining the town of Broad Ripple, County of Marion, and State of Indiana, has been laid off in lots and platted and a record of the same has been made in the recorders office of said county: therefor

Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of said town of Broad Ripple, that the corporate limits of said town be and the same are hereby extended over said territory as follows: to wit,

Part of the west half of the northeast quarter of section one (1) township sixteen (16) N. range three (3) east in Marion County State of Indiana described as follows:

Beginning on the east line of Central Avenue at a point twenty five (25) feet north of the northwest corner lot one hundred and twenty one (121) in light Bellevue Subdivision and running thence south with the east line of Central Avenue twelve hundred and sixty nine and forty two hundredths (1269.42) feet to the south line of (58th) Street: thence east with the south line of fifty eighth (58th) twelve hundred and eleven (1211) feet. To the east line of Light or College Avenue: thence north with the east line of said Avenue six hundred and thirty one and ninety two hundredths (631.92) feet: thence west fifteen and forty six hundredths (15.46) feet: thence north with east line of said Avenue six hundred and sixteen and fifty three hundredths (616.53) feet is the center line of Sixtieth Street (60th) then with the center line of said street eleven hundred and ninety five and fifty four hundredths (1195.54) feet: to the place of beginning containing thirty four and fifty five hundredths (34.55) acres being a part of Lights Bellevue Subdivision.

And that the territory enclosed within said boundaries be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall be and form a part of said town: and the jurisdiction of said town be and is hereby extended over the same.

The clerk of this town is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution accompanied by the map of said territory now before this Board in the office of the recorder of said county.

Be it further resolved by the Board of Trustees of Town of Broad Ripple, Marion County, State of Indiana that an emergency exists for the immediate taking effect of these resolutions. therefore the same shall be in full force and effect from and after their passage.
