Resolution approving a plat of territory proposed to be annexed to the Town of Broad Ripple, Marion County, State of Indiana, owned by Sarah S. Thompson et. Al. and declaring an emergency

Resolved by the Board of Trustees of Broad Ripple, Marion County, State of Indiana, that the plat filed with the Town Clerk of this Town by the Town Engineer of this Town on this 3rd day of January 1905 of the territory owned by Sarah S. Thompson et al proposed in the resolution of this Board of Trustees of this town the day adopted pursuant to the order of this Board be and the same is hereby approved and adopted.

Whereas an emergency exists for the immediate taking effect of this resolution therefor the same shall be in full force and affect from and after its passage.

Margin - Annexation resolution annexing and describing Pursells Addition to Town of Broad Ripple passed Jan 5 1905

Resolution extending the boundaries of the Town of Broad Ripple, Marion County, State of Indiana, without petition.

Whereas the following described territory hereinafter described, adjoining this Town of Broad Ripple, Marion County, State of Indiana, has been laid off in lots and platted and a record of the same has been made in the recorders office of said county; therefore

Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of said town of Broad Ripple, that the corporate limits if said town and the same are hereby extended over said territory as follows: to wit,

Part of the southwest quarter of section thirty six (36) township seventeen (17) N. range three (3) east in Marion County State of Indiana described as follows.

Beginning on the north line of Coil Street on the North line of Lights Broad Ripple Addition at a point two hundred and ninety (290) east of the west line of said section (36) and running north parallel to the west line of said section four hundred and nineteen (419) feet thence west one hundred and fifty seven (157) feet thence north parallel to the west line of said section seven hundred and fifty four (754) feet thence west seventy two (72) feet thence north parallel to the west line of said section five hundred and thirty nine and four tenths (529 4/10) feet to the white river thence eastwardly with White River twelve hundred and eighty eight (1288) feet to the west line of right of way of the Monon R. Road thence southwardly with the west line of said right of way thirteen hundred (1300) feet to a point due east of the south east corner of lot six (6) in Pursells Broad Ripple addition thence west with the southwardly line of said lot six (6) one hundred and seventy nine (170) feet thence southwardly three hundred and twenty (320) feet to the north lone of Coil Street at a point five (5) feet east of the south east corner of lot four (4) in said Pursells addition then west four hundred and seventy one (4710 feet to the beginning containing thirty (30) acres more or less.

And that the territory enclosed within said boundaries be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall be and form a part of said town: and the jurisdiction of said town be and is hereby extended over the same. The clerk of this town is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution accompanied by the map of said territory now before this Board in the office of the recorder of said county.

Be it further resolved by the Trustees of Town of Broad Ripple, Marion County, State of Indiana that an emergency exists for the immediate taking effect of these resolutions therefore the same shall be in full force and effect from and after their passage.
