ClusterTruck on BR Ave - by Mario Morone

posted: Oct. 22, 2020

ClusterTruck is an Indianapolis technology company that operates delivery-only restaurants that recently put two Indianapolis-area kitchens in Broad Ripple (2101 Broad Ripple Avenue [II31 on map], located in the former SweeTies Bakery location) and Fishers (9799 E. 116th Street) on their menu. Their Broad Ripple kitchen opened Monday, September 28 and their Fishers kitchen commenced operations on Thursday, October 8th. This much-anticipated expansion occurs less than a year after they opened its first suburban ghost kitchen in Carmel.
"Since 2016, our customers have begged for an expanded delivery zone here in Indianapolis, but our only solution to ensure the model delivered on its promises was to add ghost kitchens across the city," said Chris Baggott, co-founder and CEO of ClusterTruck. "We believe hungry people should never have to choose between the convenience of fast delivery, the food quality of a sit-down restaurant and the personality of street food. With takeout and delivery continuing to be a preferred method of dining, the timing felt right to increase our footprint and provide a convenient, crave-worthy breakfast, lunch and dinner menu to delivery zones serving Broad Ripple and Fishers," he added.

ClusterTruck is redefining how customers order food on demand through their tech-savvy system that's able to perfectly time every aspect of the process, from on-line ordering to free curbside delivery.
The unique twist is that ClusterTruck isn't actually a food truck, rather it is a delivery-only restaurant that brings their high-quality food to wherever you are. Their "virtual food trucks" are a fun way to help you navigate the 100+ menu items they offer.
Every order from ClusterTruck is made with fresh ingredients in a ClusterTruck kitchen. Their in-house fleet of drivers only make deliveries within specific delivery zones which are based on the distance from each kitchen. The result is fresh food, delivered fast and free that's never cold or soggy. Each order takes an average of 30 minutes before it's in the hands of customers.
These menu items will absolutely never sit under a heat lamp and will only spend six to seven minutes in transit, ensuring that every meal arrives to the customer fresh and hot.

According to a recent Dittoe Public Relations press release, ClusterTruck's proprietary software system uses custom algorithms and machine learning to optimize kitchen and delivery operations. This systematic approach to meal delivery ensures that nearly every order is in the hands of the customer within seven minutes of the meal's preparation. The average time between placing an order and a customer receiving their food is less than 30 minutes. The Broad Ripple and Fishers kitchens will serve the same bold menu as ClusterTruck's popular Indianapolis and Carmel kitchens. Some of ClusterTruck's most popular menu items include: pad Thai, chicken strips, buffalo mac n' cheese, baked ziti, pizza and applewood chicken salad. As an added benefit, couples, families, colleagues and friends can use their straightforward group ordering option, which allows each member of a party to order exactly what they're craving, pay separately (or together) and have it all delivered together. Customers can order from their homes, workplaces or even local parks within the delivery radius. Menu items average around $10. Delivery is always free.
ClusterTruck is planning to operate seven delivery-only restaurants in three markets nationwide, including Indianapolis and Kansas City, Missouri. They opened their Columbus kitchen in 2017 and are set to open their second delivery-only restaurant in Dublin, Ohio in early November. For more information, visit www.ClusterTruck.com.
