Poetic Thoughts - Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda... - by C.W. Pruitt II

From the metaphysical to the mundane, I will never understand how easily and beautifully Kyle Andrews writes poetry. Below is a poem that Kyle whipped out recently:
Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda...
I see in vertigo, inverted, contorted & perverted,
in a sense of innocence, that knows better
that it should...
I see a free spirit rising, to thine own
self despising, lost & out of place, suffering
disgrace & up to no damn good...
I see emptiness abounding and find it quite
astounding, in Pandora's box interred, unsettled
& disturbed, misguided & misunderstood...
I see the rainbows crash and fall, while unaffected
by it all, in a cast out state of grace I face,
the knowledge that I did all that I could...
When I actually got the chance-
Now what price must I pay to
Survive & continue this struggle?
Kyle Andrews
