Old Town of Broad Ripple Meeting Minutes #1

The Town of Broad Ripple was incorporated in 1894 and started holding regular meetings.
In this column, each issue, I will print my transcription of the old Town of Broad Ripple meeting minutes. These are taken from the original, hand-written minutes that contain many spelling errors. I have transcribed all of the records as they were entered, including those errors. I will make some corrections in brackets [ ].
Here is the first installment:

Broad Ripple Election 21st June 1894

At the election held in the town of Broad Ripple June 21st 1894 to determine whether said town should be incorporated the following was the vote cast for incorporating fifty nine (59) votes:against incorporating twenty (20) votes.
The election inspectors then passed the following order.
We Joses H Campbell, Daniel H Harecourt [Harcourt] and Henery M Hessong inspectors at the election held in the town of Broad Ripple and the state of Indiana on the 21st day of June 1894 for the purpose of determining whether said town should be incorporated, hereby divide said town into three districts for the purpose of electing trustees thereof, as follows, to wit.
First district_All that part of said town bounded as follows shall constitute the First district to wit.
All that part of town lying North of Main St constitutes district No one (1) All that part of town lying North of Shelby St and south of Main street constitutes district No two (2)
All that part of town lying south of Shelby street constitutes district No three (3)

A Statement of the Polls of an Election held in the voting precinct in the town of Broad Ripple Marion County Indiana on the 14th day of July 1894 for the purpose of electing town officers as set forth in the following headings.
Clerk Jas H Brady. Treasurer Henry M Hessong. Marshall Geo E Hubbard. Trustee 1st District Neels(?) B.S. Florander(?). Trustee 2nd District Clarance L. Kirk, Trustee 3rd District Joseph H. Bates.
State of Indiana Marion County SS.
Be it known that on Saturday the 14th day of July 1894 the undersigned returning inspector and Judges of the voting precinct of an election help in the town of Broad Ripple in the county of Marion aforesaid, having assembled at the voting place in the town of Broad Ripple in the county and state aforesaid between the hours of 8.o.c A.M. and 6.o.c P.M of the said 4th(?) day of July as the board of Canvassers of said election selected Jas H Campbell as chairman of said board.
